So I just get an idea and go. J.P. got home and I showed him the two Moleskines. He smartly mentioned that my idea wouldn’t work because the pictures would make it too thick to close right.

On to plan B (original plan A). I located some black photo corners and I’m going to get some card stock to put the photos on. I’ll use a another piece for the cover and back. It will be held together with connecting screws. I’ve done this before using the tube style with screws the ends.

I just need to get the paper and hardware. Belleve Paperzone here I come. They’re open till 5 tomorrow so I’ll hit them up after the Barrier carwash. Once I get all my Polaroid/Fuji photos in I’ll post pictures.

Making a photo album

Taking my Polaroid Propack to Wednesday Bier Night to show off to our Audi friends.
Got a couple Moleskine notebooks. One Japanese album & one Plain Reporter. Now all I need is photo corners. I’ll post pictures when I’m done.

Newly Acquired

Picked up some Fine yarn today. Main Street Yarn is now carrying it so I had to get some. I’m thinking I’ll make some of these. Channeling Veronica Mars I picked up one each of Lizard and Anemone. I think I might need to Lipstick too. We’ll see. I can easily make couple pairs.

Also hit up Gap and got a couple tops before getting a mocha and blueberry doughnut at Top Pot. Randomly discovered University Bookstore had The Magus on sale so I had to get it. As soon as I finish Sentimental Education I’ll dive in.

I love having days off.

Just watched Flakes streaming on Netflix. Totally cute movie with Zooey and Christopher Lloyd. I recommend you give it a watch.

Gearing up for Fall TV

Now that all of our TV shows have ended I’m gearing up for fall. We lost Hellcats and Breaking in but I’m looking forward to adding New Girl and Ringer.

Zooey Deschanel and SMG on my TV weekly? Yes Please!!! Also loving Wednesday open for Bier Night with the Audi Club. If the shows didn’t overlap I’d be even more stoked.

Coffee

A week ago I picked up a new french press and I’ve decided to take the old one to work. The coffee provided at work is some Tully’s blend. It can be an okay coffee if made just right. This is nearly impossible with the current coffee maker at work. So what happens is I have to put a lot of sugar and flavored creamer in.

This lead me to my decision to make my own coffee at work. I’m currently in the process of picking a good coffee. This week I have enjoyed Equal Exchange Organic Columbian. I picked up the beans at Central Market. It’s been pretty good. I’ve managed to use a lot less sugar and no creamer.

It’s not perfect though. It needs to be drunk quickly due to the no creamer. I’m still on the lookout for something I can savor without having to trek up to the fridge and back. (Powdered creamer tastes very acidic to me so that is not an option.)

The other news is that Zoka is no longer making Columbia Villarica. I’ll have to wait till the next Cup of Excellence columbian arrives. Until then I’m drinking their Brazilian offering.

I’ve concluded that it is a great coffee for summer. It works well for making before running out to play in the sun. Or it will be great for that when the sun arrives. So far it’s still early spring like around here. It has a nice smooth taste and is perfect with a little sugar and half & half.

Once summer is over and the cold comes back I’ll be ready to sit and savor more complex flavors.
