Finally, good news on the film front. Found out about a place called Panda . Looks like they still do 120. I also have some Delta to develop. Kenmore Camera was a fail on both those.
I was planning to go to Ivey but as (bad) luck would have it they closed their film shop two days ago. The rest of Ivey got bought by someone but they didn’t want the film side. I can understand why but it is frustrating. It goes right along with Sonic Boom Records closing their Fremont location. I was primed to hit their vinyl store on J.P.’s birthday but it wasn’t there anymore. They’ve consolidated to their location that’s a couple miles away. So not a total suck.
Monday J.P. and I have our first anniversary. I didn’t know he was taking it off until Monday so I am getting off at noon. There is talk of having lunch with Ben. Hopefully I can get J.P. to swing by Ballard and I can drop off my film.

I’m getting excited for J.P.’s birthday and that we have super friends plus one who will be in town. They can see the neat gift I got J.P. We’ve done some prep work and found a good place to get coffee. It’s not the new Zoka because it’s not open as late but it’s still worthy.
The most exciting thing that’s happened recently is finishing off the pack of black and white Fuji fp3000b that I had in my polaroid camera. I’m now on to the Polaroid 669. I’ll hopefully post some new pictures soon on flickr. Next time I’ll skip to the Fuji fp100c since 669 color is so blah.
I’ve been nerding out and spending a lot of time reading Kathy Reichs books. She’s the woman who inspired the tv show Bones. I got the new Knit1 magazine but I haven’t done any knitting in a while. I’m lazy.

Yesterday I got film at Glazers. Two packs of Fuji FP-3000B and a twin pack of Polaroid 669. They were all out of 690 and they wanted a lot for the FP-100C.
I took this using the normal light setting without the flash. It came out dark but not too bad. I might have given it a second or two more than I should have. It takes 15 seconds and I had to pause to push start on the timer.
I’m just glad it turned out alright and I didn’t make a big mess out of it.

The new hotness. So I got that One Step but the film is going away so I figured I needed to upgrade. I picked the ProPack because it has the flash instead of using flash cubes.
It’s a good looking camera and a real conversation piece at parties. Took it up to BC on Friday and a bunch of people took pictures of themselves holding it.

As you may have guessed I got a Polaroid Camera. It’s a One Step so it takes 600 film. Then I got the news that Polaroid wasn’t going to sell instant film anymore. So in a while I’ll have to retire my $1.09 camera. Until then here are some more pictures.

This was a double shot of the non-espresso variety. I guess my camera has an issue. I’m sure I didn’t accidently get 11 shots.

I finally finished the roll in the Holga. Will develop and Flickr soon.
My Great Aunt died today. This calls for sad songs and unhealthy deserts.
We’re off to Renton. The oil is getting changed in my car today.
